Proposal: All setters take functions
in Developing jQuery Core

I'd like to submit a patch that lets all setters (val, html, text, etc.) take a function as the second parameter, like the current .css() and .attr(). Can anyone see a reason not to do that?<br clear="all">

I only ask that the jQuery.isFunction(val) results be cached to avoid
repeated calls for the function check - but other than that, sounds
good.
